How long will my new floor last?
A professionally installed floor coating system can last 10–20 years or more when properly maintained. The lifespan depends on usage, traffic, and the coating system selected. We use premium materials and proper surface preparation to maximize durability and longevity.
What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic coatings?
Epoxy provides excellent adhesion and durability, while polyaspartic coatings offer superior UV resistance, faster cure times, and enhanced scratch resistance. Most of our premium systems combine the strengths of both products for maximum performance.
How long does installation take?
Most residential garage floors can be completed in 1–2 days, depending on the condition of the concrete, moisture levels, and the coating system selected.
How soon can I walk on my floor?
Light foot traffic: 24 hours. Heavy foot traffic: 48 hours. Vehicle traffic: 72–96 hours. Cure times may vary depending on temperature and humidity.
Will my floor be slippery?
Our flake and quartz systems provide excellent traction. We can also add anti-slip additives to increase safety in garages, basements, patios, and commercial spaces.
Can you coat cracked or damaged concrete?
Yes. Minor cracks, surface imperfections, and small spalling areas can often be repaired prior to coating installation. During your estimate, we’ll evaluate your concrete and recommend the best repair solution.
What colors are available?
We offer a wide variety of colors and finishes including full flake systems, metallic epoxy floors, quartz systems, solid color coatings, and custom color blends. We’ll help you choose a style that complements your home or business.
Are your coatings resistant to road salt and chemicals?
Absolutely. Our systems are designed to withstand road salt, oil and grease, gasoline, brake fluid, chemicals, moisture, and hot tire pickup — perfect for Maine’s harsh winters.
What areas can be coated?
We install coating systems for residential and commercial garages, basements, workshops, warehouses, showrooms, retail spaces, utility rooms, mudrooms, patios, breezeways, and pool decks.
Do I need to empty my garage before installation?
Yes. The area should be completely cleared before installation. We recommend removing vehicles, storage items, shelving contents, and other belongings prior to our arrival.
How do I maintain my new floor?
Maintenance is simple: sweep regularly, mop with mild soap and water, clean spills promptly, and avoid harsh acids or abrasive cleaners. Most floors require very little maintenance to keep their appearance.
Why is concrete grinding important?
Grinding removes contaminants, opens the concrete surface, and creates the proper profile needed for the coating to bond correctly. It’s one of the most important steps in achieving a long-lasting floor.
